Prof. Dr. Yasmin Weiß

Prof. Dr. Yasmin Weiß is a professor, supervisory board member, start-up founder and political advisor. She initially started her career in the consulting firm Accenture and continued her career at the DAX 30 companies E.ON AG and BMW Group. In 2018 she founded the startup Yoloa.

Parallel to her career in business, Yasmin Weiß has held a professorship at the Technical University of Nuremberg since 2011. Her research focuses on the topics of digital leadership, the world of work and the competences of the future as well as the optimization of German-Chinese cooperation.

Since 2014, she has been a member of several supervisory and advisory boards of German companies.

Yasmin Weiß is also a member of high-ranking political advisory boards. Since 2014, she has been a member of the Foreign Trade Advisory Council of the Federal Ministry of Economics. Chancellor Angela Merkel appointed her to the Innovation Steering Committee of the Federal Government in 2014. Since 2017, she has been a member of the FDP Economic Forum headed by Christian Lindner.

In 2017, she was elected by the business magazine Capital to the "Top 40 among 40 in society and science" in Germany.

Straight out of university, she bootstrapped a company builder and digital consultancy to help enterprises detect and excel in new digital business models, areas and offers.

This resulted in six ventures so far that she has built and partially exited - both B2B and B2C.

She happily advises other founders in the early stages of their startups - applying her experience, knowledge, and learnings.

Dora Dzvonyar

Dora Dzvonyar is a researcher and doctoral candidate at the Chair for Applied Software Engineering at the Technical University of Munich. After completing her MSc in Informatics, she joined the chair to pursue her passion for educational research. Her research interests include team composition for software engineering, teaching modeling and other workflows to students using applied methods, and analyzing how development teams cope with uncertainty. She also coaches scientists and experts to communicate better about their work and is organizer and curator of TEDxTUM, a conference that brings ideas worth spreading from all fields of science and beyond to the local community. Dora is advocating for the representation of women in science and technology both as a Munich Geekettes ambassador and a TUM Informatics Gender Equality Officer.

Mariana Avezum

Mariana Avezum, 29, is a doctoral candidate at the Technical University of Munich. She is very interested in the future of mobility, and after having built a hyperloop prototype, now researches the area of multimodal transportation, and how all the different mobility providers can and should communicate with each other. With the strong belief that no single transportation solution can ever satisfy all the different mobility needs, she studies possibilities to connect them to each other while still allowing everyone to reach their destinations in an environmentally friendly manner. She is also an ambassador for the Munich Geekettes, promoting events to incentive women in STEM.

After completing her MSc in Robotics at the TU Munich, she worked for two years at the Fraunhofer IOSB in Karlsruhe dealing with Human Action Recognition on Image Sequences. At BMW her team works on environment perception using machine learning methods.
